Best Offer

Best Offer

Adding a Best Offer option to your Buy it Now or auction listings invites buyers to negotiate with you. It’s a great way to test your pricing strategy where you’re willing to make a deal.

When a buyer makes an offer, you can accept, decline, or make a counteroffer. Sellers who accept offers often see a positive impact on their sales and visibility, and many buyers still choose to pay full price.

Keep track of your offers from My eBay > More Actions> Manage Offers.

Sending Offers to Buyers

With Offers to Buyers you can send offers to potential buyers through the Seller Hub. That means you can target buyers already interested in your items, helping you increase sales and drive buyer loyalty.

Find your eligible listings from the Offers to Buyers option under your Seller Hub Listings tab.

Reply with Offer

If a buyer asks a question about a listing, you can send them an offer to buy the item at a lower price. Just go to My eBay > Messages and select Reply with Offer.

Remember you can’t include any contact information, like your email address, phone number, or a URL to an off-eBay destination. You also shouldn’t respond to buyers asking to purchase your item outside of eBay. This violates our offers to buy or sell outside of eBay policy.

Reply with Offer is available when buyers haven’t already sent a Best Offer, for listings that are:

  • Active
  • Fixed-price
  • Best Offer enabled
  • Not in the Cars, Motorcycles, and Vehicles category

For multi-quantity listings, you can send an offer for all, some, or only one of the items.

For example, if you’re selling 4 items in a single listing, with a Buy it Now price of $25 each, you can send an offer for all 4 items at a combined price of $80, 2 items for $40, or 1 item for $20.

When all the items in your listing have been sold through Buy it Now, Best Offer, or Offers to Buyers, we’ll end your listing, and cancel any outstanding offers.
