Sendle 250g Express Postage Service FAQs
What is Sendle’s 250g Express Postage service?
What is the Sendle 250g Express Postage service?
We have partnered with Sendle to create a tracked express postage service for smaller items under 250g in weight. This is a pickup and postage service and to be eligible, you need to purchase a minimum of 10 parcels/satchels per pickup day. Available only on the eBay Postage Labels platform.
If you have never used a pickup service on eBay, prior to the label purchase(s) you will confirm a day for a Sendle driver to collect your parcels from your dispatch address. Even if you purchase your labels separately the parcels will be picked up together, each day between 8am and 6pm.

4. Express postage solution to help meet the eBay Plus criteria
Part 1: How does this work with eBay Plus?
Sendle’s 250g Express Pickup service will complement the eBay Plus program, enabling more listings to meet the criteria to earn the eBay Plus badge. From 23rd of August, inventory from $2.50 will be eligible for the eBay Plus program.
To earn the eBay Plus badge on your listings you need to offer free standard shipping and a reasonably priced express postage option to metro areas. Sendle’s 250 Express Pickup Service provides you this solution.
Part 2: How does this work with eBay Plus?
The eBay Plus program will help you provide great experience for buyers by upgrading shipping for eBay Plus buyers in metro areas to express shipping for free. We’ll give you money back to help cover the cost (up to $4) of upgrading from free standard to express postage to metro areas.
Part 3: How does this work with eBay Plus?
- For your eBay Plus items with an item price of $15 and above: There is no change to the amount you receive today. We’ll continue to give you up to $4 back for the cost of sending your parcels with express postage .

Is my business eligible?
Your business is eligible for the service if:
• If your sender address is in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide metro areas (See full list of Eligible suburbs ) and;
• Your eBay volumes hit the minimum threshold, you will be eligible for the 250g service.
• Please ensure your “dispatch address” on your account settings is not a PO Box address.
How does the minimum threshold work?
You will need to ensure that at least 10 parcels/satchels have been booked for any particular pickup day. There is a $0.55 per satchel fee if the pickup quantity is less than 10. For example, $0.55 fee applies if only 9 parcels are booked for a pickup, $1.10 fee applies if only 8 parcels are booked for a pickup, and so forth.
The 10 parcel minimum is based on pickup address, not by eBay account, which benefits those who have multiple eBay selling accounts from the same address.
Is this a tracked and express service?
Yes! The benefits of printing your postage labels through eBay is that tracking is uploaded automatically to Seller Hub, for a better buyer experience.
Can I get ‘signature on delivery’?
This service does not offer Signature On Delivery. All parcels using this service will be delivered with Authority To Leave. Please note, under the eBay Money Back Guarantee policy , sellers are required to provide signature confirmation to prove successful on-time delivery on items costing $750 or more in order to be protected against ‘Item not received’ claims from buyers.
What is the pricing?
Pricing will differ depending on the buyer address:
Same City: $4.28 inc. GST
Different City: $5.28 inc. GST
Regional: $12.18 inc. GST

How will I be charged?
The fees will be collated and charged to your eBay account monthly, on the second or third week of the following month. The fee is $0.55 per satchel if the pickup quantity is less than 10. For example, $0.55 fee applies if only 9 parcels are booked for a pickup, $1.10 fee applies if only 8 parcels are booked for a pickup, and so forth.
I can’t see the 250g service, what happens now?
We update the eligibility list weekly so if you cannot see the service appear on the eBay Label Platform a week after you hit the threshold to be eligible, we recommend you get in touch with your account manager, otherwise contact us at ebay.com.au/help/
Are there any redelivery or return-to-sender fees?
The service does not require a signature upon delivery and is Authority To Leave only. If a redelivery or return-to-sender is required, the following fees apply:
Postage Cost + $2.20 incl. GST admin fee
Return to Sender Fee: $3.85 incl. GST per parcel for Same City & National, $13.20 incl. GST per parcel for Remote
What packaging can I use?
You can use your own packaging as long as the package size does not exceed 245mm x 165mm (A5 satchel size). It is recommended not to use Australia Post or any other branded satchels to prevent any confusion at the courier’s depot.
Is there cover for loss or damage?
Currently there is no Sendle cover included for the Sendle 250g Express Postage service.
However, as this is a tracked service, any ‘item not received’ (INR) requests you receive on eBay will be resolved automatically. We’ll absorb the cost of the refund without a defect on your account.
Please note, under the eBay Money Back Guarantee policy , sellers are required to provide signature confirmation to prove successful on-time delivery on items costing $750 or more in order to be protected against ‘Item not received’ claims from buyers.
