Recent Developments in NSW
What you Need to Know
Last Updated 5 January 2021
Recent government restrictions implemented in NSW may have affected your eBay business.
We’re implementing a range of protections to support you and keep your eBay business running.
How We’re Protecting you
The following protections apply to sellers based in NSW, or posting eBay orders to buyers in NSW between 17 December 2020 and at least 11.59PM AEST on 31 January 2021.
Late Shipments and Cancellations: We will automatically remove your Late Shipment Rate defects, Seller Cancellation defects and related Negative or Neutral Feedback received for transactions between 17 December 2020 and at least 11.59PM AEST on 31 January 2021.
Item Not Received Claims: Your Item Not Received (INR) count in Service Metrics, along with any related Negative or Neutral Feedback will be removed for transactions between 17 December 2020 and at least 11.59PM AEST on 31 January 2021. To be eligible, upload valid tracking before the delivery is scanned.
- Estimated Delivery Date Extensions for all items located in Australia: We’re extending Estimated Delivery Dates onsite for items located in Australia. This change will help manage buyer expectations and give you more time to fulfil your orders.
Managing Your Deliveries and Returns
If you’re a seller based in an affected area and you use local pick-up, please consider alternative delivery options at this time. You can use the eBay Labels Platform to send your items with the option of courier pick-up for your parcels with Sendle at no extra cost.
Please note that due to Government restrictions, some Sendle drop off locations in these areas may be currently closed. Please check the drop off locator before heading to your usual location. You can learn more about eBay Prepaid Postage Labels on the Seller Centre.
We encourage you to check the latest updates from your postage carrier to see if your deliveries may be impacted.
|Putting Your Business Into Holiday Mode||Government Support|
|If you need to take a break from your eBay Store for any reason, you can put it on Holiday Mode which hides your fixed-price listings. This means buyers won't see them in your eBay Store or in search results. Buyers who have already purchased items will still be able to view them.
||Governments at both the state and federal level have announced a number of measures to help ensure businesses are supported during this difficult time. Whether you’re a sole trader, you employ staff or you own a company, there are options available to you.|
