After every transaction, buyers and sellers can rate each other by leaving Feedback. You can find your Feedback score next to your username, whenever it’s displayed on the site. Buyers can rate sellers as positive, neutral, or negative. Sellers can rate buyers as positive. Both buyers and sellers can leave a short comment describing their experience.

Leaving Feedback

A good time to leave Feedback is once you’ve received payment and you’re ready to dispatch the item. You have up to 60 days from the date of the sale to leave and receive Feedback.

Remember that comments are permanent, and you can only leave Feedback once per transaction, so make sure your Feedback is accurate and fair.

You can leave feedback for several items at a time, or do it one by one.

  1. Go to Orders in the Seller Hub
  2. Choose the Item(s), the selevt Leave Feedback
  3. Select Positive, enter a comment, then select Leave Feedback

Detailed Seller Ratings

For additional insight into your performance, buyers can also view and leave detailed seller ratings. This is a breakdown of how you've been rated by your buyers in the following areas, and is part of the feedback that buyers leave for you after each transaction:

Item description – How accurately was the item described?
Communication – Did you communicate well with your buyer?
Postage time – How quickly did you post the item?
Postage and handling charges – Were the costs reasonable?

You can view your detailed seller ratings on the Feedback Forum by entering your username. You’ll find stars next to the four different areas - 1 star is the lowest rating,  5 stars is the highest.

Feedback Rules

Whether you’ve had a good experience, or something went wrong, your Feedback should reflect that. However, we may remove Feedback where it breaches our policies.

Things we don’t allow include:

Buyers leave negative Feedback if they’ve had a problem at some stage of the sale. It could be that the item wasn’t what they expected, or it took longer to arrive than they thought it would.

If you receive negative Feedback, the first thing you should do is identify the issue, and take action to solve it.

Once the problem is sorted, you have a few options:

If you feel the Feedback is inappropriate as per our Feedback rules, you can report it to us. We’ll investigate your report and remove Feedback where necessary.
