About eBay Postage Labels

You can buy and print labels right from the Seller Hub. We’ll automatically upload a tracking number to the site, and we’ll add the charge to your next invoice. For Australia Post labels, you can choose to request a signature for an extra $2.95 AUD, or insurance, when you create your label. For Sendle labels, Signature on Delivery is included at no extra cost  for parcels over 500g.

All Sendle deliveries require a physical street address (Sendle can't deliver to post offices, PO boxes, locked bags, parcel lockers or parcel collect locations). Prices include a free pick-up option, transit cover up to $300 and free Signature on Delivery. Bear in mind, Sendle does not offer signature on delivery for parcels that weigh below 500g. Under eBay’s Money Back Guarantee policy, where a buyer claims that an item has not been received, one of the things sellers are required to provide in order to prove successful delivery for items valued at $750+ is  signature confirmation.

Packaging Your Orders

You can purchase eBay Branded, or Australia Post branded, satchel labels from the Post Office, or the Australia Post eBay Store. You’ll save by purchasing in bulk online, and delivery for eBay branded packaging is free.

You can also print an Australia Post or Sendle postage label on eBay to use with your own packaging. We’ll carry through the weight and dimensions you’ve specified in your listings, or you can add this info when you create your label. Make sure you’ve included packaging in these amounts, and pay attention to weight restrictions for satchels.

Postage Options

How to Create a Label

When listing an item on eBay, at the option to add Domestic Postage, select ‘Calculate: Cost Varies by Buyer Location.’ Select up to 4 services you’d like to offer from the dropdown. If you’d like to increase your chances of selling your item you can select the “Free postage” option.

After your item’s sold, head to the Seller Hub Orders tab to see a full overview of all orders ready to be posted. Select multiple or individual orders and then select ‘Print Postage Label.’

From there, you’ll be able to create a label (or multiple labels) by selecting your preferred service (all prices include GST). You may need to re-enter weight and dimensions.

For Sendle services, Signature on Delivery and Insurance up to $300 are included at no extra cost for packages over 500g.
