What is Parts Compatibility?

--Video Content Start--

Parts compatibility, or fitment, allows sellers in most Vehicle Parts & Accessories categories to show all the vehicles that are compatible with their part or accessory. This will increase the visibility of your listings in search results and can help reduce the number of listings you need to manage. You can quickly and easily add Parts Compatibility to your listings by using the eBay Parts Catalogue.

Alternatively you can manually choose up to 3,000 compatible vehicles per listing from a master vehicle list (MVL) which includes more than 40,000 vehicle models. If you can’t find a vehicle on the MVL you might be able to request it by emailing sdsupport@ebay.com.

When you assign compatible vehicles to your listing, it is easier for buyers to find the parts they're looking for and they can buy with confidence knowing that they're buying a part that fits their model.

Important

Even if you don’t adopt the catalogue, it’s still important to manually add Parts Compatibility to your listings to increase visibility in search.  Parts Compatibility also helps avoid having duplicate listings.  eBay will remove duplicate listings which are identified in the Vehicle Parts & Accessories categories that are in violation of the duplicate listings policy.
