Registering for an eBay selling account is quick, easy and free. If you’ve bought something from us in the past, you can use the same account and all you’ll need to do is confirm a few extra details. When you’re ready to start selling, we’ll guide you every step of the way. So why not give it a go and unlock all the value lying around your house that you could cash in on?

Great to meet you! Head over to our registration page and enter your details. There are just a few things you’ll need to do:

  • Provide an email address and phone number
  • Decide payment methods you want to offer buyers. PayPal is the most popular payment method on eBay, but you can check out our accepted payments policy for others
  • Bear in mind that you can pay for your eBay fees using PayPal, a credit/debit card or your bank account details
  • Read and accept our User Agreement and Privacy Policy. This helps us ensure eBay remains a safe place for everyone.

ALREADY BOUGHT SOMETHING ON EBAY?

Good news - you can use the same eBay account for selling. Head over to your Account Settings to get it set up. We'll just need some additional information as outlined above.

Link your PayPal account

Linking your account with eBay automatically unlocks your account to its full selling potential and  provides you with an added layer of security clearance from some of your trading activities such as higher selling limits.
 
To link your PayPal and eBay accounts:
 
  1. Click My eBay 
  2. Click the Account tab
  3. Click the “PayPal Account” link on the left side of the page
  4. Click the Link My PayPal Account button
  5. You'll be asked to log in to PayPal to finish linking your accounts
