What you Need to Know
Multi-User Account Access enables you to grant access to employees or delegates to perform specific selling functions on your behalf. This provides both users - the seller and the employee - added security and privacy for their eBay account.
In March 2020, you’ll be able to invite your employees as authorised users, granting each user specific permissions and access to create and edit drafts and/or publish and revise listings. You’ll be able to do this within the Permissions section of your Account Settings.
To invite a user, simply enter their full name, email address and select the permission you want to grant them. Once you click Add user, they’ll receive an email invitation to accept and then will be granted access to your Listings tab in Seller Hub*. They won’t have access to any other parts of your Seller Hub content. There is no limit to the number of delegators and delegatees associated with any eBay account.
*If the user has an eBay account with the same email address, they’ll be taken to the eBay sign-in page when they accept your invitation. If the authorised user does not have an account with that email address, they’ll be prompted to create a new account with that email address.
Next Steps
- As a delegator, keep an eye on the Permissions section in your account settings to start delegating tasks and for more capabilities in the coming months.
- As a delegatee, we strongly recommend that as an authorised user, you keep a separate eBay account from your personal eBay account that you may be using to buy and sell on eBay. This will help avoid potential confusion.
