Listing management: Out-of-stock feature
We know how important it is to hold onto hard-earned Feedback and an established sales history when you're selling on eBay. The Out-of-stock feature helps you do both.
Once you've turned the feature on, we'll automatically hide your multi-quantity, Good 'Til Cancelled listings when they reach a quantity of zero. Buyers won't find your items in normal eBay searches while they're hidden, but the listings will remain active and retain their sales history. Once you replenish your stock and update the quantity, the listings become visible again.
It's important to note that if a buyer is watching your listing, or has saved or bookmarked it, they can still find and view your listing but they'll see an alert-style message at the top of the listing to make them aware you're currently out of stock:
Your listings won't be automatically hidden until you activate the out-of-stock feature. Here's how:
1. Go to Site Preferences in My eBay
2. Under Selling Preferences, click Show. next to Sell Your Item form and listings
3. Click Edit next to Use the out-of-stock option.
4. Select the checkbox and click Apply.
You can disable the feature within your Selling Preferences at any time. You will need to manually amend or end any listings where you have run out of stock.
Ideally, you'll have new stock already ordered. When it comes in, remember to update the quantity on your fixed price listings so they don't get hidden unnecessarily.
There are several eBay selling tools which can help you to keep track of your inventory and update listing quantities quickly and easily, including Selling Manager, Selling Manager Pro and the bulk edit tool.

Insertion fees are typically charged on Good 'Til Cancelled listings for every 30-day period. Fees are based on the terms in effect when the listing is created or renews.
